Operations Manager

1.    The Position

  • Tilos Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional to manage day-to-day lab and office operations and provide administrative assistance to the Company’s executive team. 

  • The successful candidate will help manage all administrative and operations functions at the company. This is a rare opportunity to grow with a young biotech company, to participate in defining the culture of the company as it settles into its new home, and to provide critical operational support for the executive and R&D teams as we advance our products into clinical development.

2.    Core Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to)

  • Monitor and maintain office systems, including IT, server/printer systems, telephone, HVAC, etc., by coordinating with external vendors, building management, etc.

  • Manage activities related to ordering and receiving of lab supplies and equipment

  • Manage day to day interactions with vendors including facilities, purchasing, IT, HR, finance, and legal service providers

  • Assist in coordination with external accountants including accounts payable, payroll, purchase orders, etc.

  • Administer and maintain filing and retrieval systems both onsite and in the cloud

  • Provide complex, diverse and confidential administrative assistance to executive team

  • Handle business, company, and personnel details of a highly confidential and sensitive nature while engaging with high level contacts inside and outside the company

  • Help to maintain management team’s schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and by coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements as well as handling preparation of expense reports

  • Assist in the design and preparation of corporate materials and presentations including the creation, editing and assembly of slides for presentations  

  • Staff reception desk and act as first line external interface for office and team, answering phone calls and greeting guests

3.    Requirements (Include but are not limited to)

  • BS degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in an entrepreneurial/start-up setting, preferably biotech or drug discovery

  • Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and to shift priorities rapidly   

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and results oriented; strong level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Previous experience in supporting senior executives

  • Requires expertise with both Mac and PC-based MS Office; proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint required. Quickbooks and Project desirable
